SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Job Purpose
Responsible for developing program logic for new applications and analyzing and modifying logic in existing applications system.
Key responsibilities:

Qualifications

A USAID contractor is recruiting the following positions to be based in Mombasa, Kenya, for an ongoing project focused on civic education, citizen engagement and community strengthening. 
Procurement Specialist:  
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for all procurement functions, including procurement for goods and services for both operational and programmatic requirements.   
Requires at least three years of relevant experience in procurement, including experience working with USAID or other donor-funded programs in Kenya, preferably including Mombasa as a solid understanding of local market conditions is essential.  

Bachelor's degree in relevant field required, additional coursework focused on procurement and logistics preferred. 

All candidates must possess strong skills in basic computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Procurement Assistant:   
Requires at least one year relevant experience in administration, procurement and/or logistics for USAID or other donor-funded programs in Kenya, preferably in Mombasa or elsewhere along Kenya’s Coast.  

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent level of education and experience, is required.   

All candidates must possess strong skills in basic computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Grants Manager:  
The Grants Manager is responsible for assessing recipient organizations’ grant worthiness, financial, administrative and management capacities, as well as developing and administering budgets and financial tracking for grants awarded to local partners.  

Candidates must possess at least three years demonstrated experience in the management and administration of grants or contracts funded by USAID or other donors, in a role such as activity management, financial management, procurement or sub-contracting.  

Familiarity with USAID contract and grants management policies and procedures is desirable, but experience with other donor funded projects will be accepted.  

Candidates must demonstrate superior management, budgeting and administrative skills required for sound management of cash and in-kind grants.  

Position also requires strong writing and organizational skills, proven knowledge of local and international NGOs, community based organizations, key governmental and other stakeholders present in the area. 
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent level of education and experience, is required.   

All candidates must possess strong skills in basic computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.

MAGNA Children at Risk is an international non-profit humanitarian organization whose objective is to provide medical, nutritional and psychosocial care/aid to population in crisis. In Kenya is active since 2006.
JOB LOCATION: Mombasa Coast Province, Msambweni County, Kenya
(In the event of an emergency and/or depending on operational needs potentially available to work in other districts within Kenya and/or the region).
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION – NURSE/COUNSELOR
:
The objective is to improve the well being of chronic patients, by providing proper care and regular follow up through given support to chronic patients, especially children living with HIV/AIDS, in living a positive life and adhere to their treatment and follow up.
REQUIREMENTS
:
* Diploma in nursing with an experience in counseling (registered nurse)
* At least 2 years of experience
* Language: English/Kiswahili
* Specialized training in HIV/AIDS counseling/medical care.
* Interest in chronic diseases, especially HIV/AIDS.
* Empathy and respect of confidentiality.
* Ability to respond quickly to urgent and unexpected situation
* Ability and willingness to work in the field
